2025 overview

As we begin a new year, it's a great time to reflect on the previous year. 2025 was the first full calendar year for Collateral Damage 360. Let's look back at what it held:
A discussion of the list of names Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission has provided, as well as those they refuse to list, a list added to the website, and an examination of why saying names matters.
A look at the founding and culture of the organization and how it contributes to inadequate abuse response.
The first posts in a continuing series, Listen to MKs.
An examination of leadership at Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission -- their attempts at control, cover-ups, failure to follow up on known abuse, their understanding of abuse revealed through the analogies they use, how they lure missionaries in with promises of child safety and then claim they don't have a duty to protect, their recruitment practices, and whether they're trustworthy.
After nearly a year of refusing to add Josh Weeks to their list of missionaries who have harmed children, despite having sent out a letter explaining that harm to a child had occurred, Ethnos360 finally added him.
A post related to Ministry Watch and its scoring of Ethnos360's financial efficiency.
Specific examples of how failing to respond appropriately to abuse leads to more children at risk and more children harmed:
Another lawsuit was filed, and we discussed what the complaint alleged about IHART.
A new section with summaries/timelines on the website, an attempt to provide clarity to more complicated cases or those with a lot of information available.
A celebration of a new Substack dedicated to providing MKs with an avenue to tell their stories, Whispers to Roars.
Update on the status of two lawsuits filed against Ethnos360.
There were highs and lows, busy periods and slow times, disappointments and wins. Every time it seemed overwhelming or like change was slow, remembering the missionary kids still under Ethnos360's care motivated continued action. Thank you for following along, sharing, and supporting this work. Looking forward to more awareness, accountability, and justice in 2026.
