Collateral Damage 360 plans to continue highlighting and summarizing stories from missionary kids and former missionaries about abuse and failed response in Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission. Many come from the Whispers to Roars Substack, and quite a few have been linked on the News and Stories page of the website.

One of the stories shared by Whispers to Roars is about a missionary pilot in Papua New Guinea. It alleges a pattern of grooming and abusing teenagers, students at the missionary boarding school. The post describes how this behavior was excused as "dating," a man in his 30s "dating" teenage girls and, in some cases, allegedly sexually abusing them. According to the post, this wasn't a secret; it's claimed that leadership knew about, and in some cases authorized, these (seemingly clearly predatory) "dating" relationships. The post also recounts the story of a teenage girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted by him on an airplane while he was flying her home to visit her parents. Read the entire account to learn more about this man, a missionary with New Tribes Mission for decades, and the MKs and others he allegedly harmed.

It is another heartbreaking story of abuse and trauma, minimization and dismissal, the same pattern that has been seen over and over in Ethnos360. Without accountability, it won't stop.
