We've already discussed New Tribes Mission/Ethnos360's terrible Ministry Watch scores and the fact they've been downgraded even further. One interesting part of Ministry Watch's scoring system is the financial efficiency rating. As you can see in the graphic, Ethnos360 has 5 stars for fund acquisition, ranked number 11 in their sector and 112 out of 1,111 Ministry Watch ratings. According to Ministry Watch, they bring in a lot of money and do it very well, but that is where the good news ends. For asset utilization, they have 2 stars, 86 of 124 in their sector and 865 of 1,110. Finally, according to Ministry Watch, Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission's resource allocation rating is 1 star. Out of 124 foreign missions Ministry Watch ratings, Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission ranks 114. Only 10 foreign missions organizations rank lower in this regard.

Recently Ministry Watch stopped giving an overall efficiency star rating to organizations that don't file a Form 990 with the IRS. Of the 1,100+ Christian organizations they rate, less than 200 do not file this form, and Ethnos360 is one of them. Ministry Watch believes this information is valuable to donors and helps bring transparency.

In conclusion, New Tribes Mission/Ethnos360 does well fundraising (according to ECFA, Ethnos360 brought in over $70,000,000 in 2023), but they are sorely lacking in resource allocation and asset utilization. Donors beware. Based on these rankings, hundreds of ministries and a hundred foreign missions organizations are more financially efficient than Ethnos360.
