LISTEN TO MKSABUSEINVESTIGATIONTRUSTWORTHINESS

One Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission MK has several posts on his personal website related to Ethnos360 abuse response and investigations. He outlines his experience of abuse as a child and Ethnos360's investigation and determination that he was physically and emotionally abused in a post entitled, "Ethnos360 (New Tribes Mission) Continues to Protect Abusers." He explains that although Ethnos360 confirmed, through investigation, that his abuse occurred, they chose to keep the results confidential and refused to tell him how they responded. He describes how disconcerting it is for Ethnos360 and his abuser to be privvy to what happened to him while he is kept in the dark about how the mission responded to his abuser. He explains that the man who abused him is senior vice president of a children's ministry in spite of the abusive history confirmed by Ethnos360's investigation. He points out how Ethnos360 refuses to name dozens of other abusers found during their many investigations.

In a post entitled, "Ethnos360 Victimizes Survivors of Abuse," he shares how the betrayal he has felt from Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission leadership "cuts far deeper" than the the abuse he experienced. He talks about how he and other MKs were misled to believe IHART was independent, when in fact IHART is a trademark of Ethnos360. He explains how Ethnos360 fired the coordinator initially in charge of the investigation into the school he attended in Bolivia, clearly confirming once and for all that IHART was anything but independent. This MK points to misrepresentations made by Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission leadership to media, specifically the Chicago Tribune, where they were quoted as saying they, “commissioned another agency to investigate similar claims in Bolivia, Panama and Brazil.” He describes feeling betrayed and used.

This MK has been writing about abuse in Ethnos360/New Tribes Mission for over a decade, and the journey he has gone through, from hope that the investigations would finally bring about change to hurt that the harmful patterns of coverups and lack of integrity continue, is another example of Ethnos360's failure to address abuse and treat missionary kids with dignity and respect.

Please head over to his website and take some time to listen to his story, to understand the harm that Ethnos360 leadership inflicts when they choose reputation over repentance.
